OVH is now operating the vCloud Air service, which it acquired in May 2017. OVH and VMware will continue partnering on go-to-market and customer support around the key vCloud Air use cases: data center extension, data center consolidation, and data center recovery.
At the same time, VMware is offering new cloud services to help you achieve consistent infrastructure and operations across clouds.
In August 2017, VMware announced new SaaS offerings and partnerships to bridge private and public clouds and provide consistency across operational silos. A new set of VMware Cloud services helps you navigate and manage complex hybrid environments. These services offer end-to-end visibility into cloud usage, costs, network traffic, and analytics. They also provide consistent security across both public clouds and on-premises environments. VMware Hybrid Cloud Extension provides a high-performance, secure interconnect that enables large-scale app mobility between on-premises vSphere platforms and one or more VMware Clouds. Initial availability with IBM and OVH is planned for late 2017.
